Tradition x Innovation

“ADEAM” is a word created by reversing “MAEDA,” which is designer Hanako Maeda’s family name.
The mark used in the logo that resembles a plum flower is Maeda’s family crest.
Thus, "ADEAM" embodies the designer's attitude to respect the old, while bringing this tradition to life through a modern voice.
Twenty-first century Japan is defined by its ability to make venerable traditions harmonize with the cutting edge: it is both a land of history, and a laboratory where the future is imagined. ADEAM draws its inspiration from this duality.
We search out the beautiful in what we have inherited and imbue that beauty with new meaning in the present.
We cast our net wide in search of motifs, drawing on history, philosophy, art, literature, architecture, science, and math—our curiosity is all-encompassing.
And through a sophisticated synthesis, a sort of alchemy of sources, we create objects that embody our own unique perspective on the world.
We reimagine the future, breathing new life into ideas that have stood the test of time.
We aim to create products that have lasting meaning.
